The Ugpi’ganjig Education Department services students from Kindergarten to grade 12 from the Anglophone and Francophone north school district within the radius of the Restigouche County. Through our provincial enhancement agreement which is based on our nominal roll list, Native educational support workers are assigned to our provincial schools to support First Nation students academically, emotionally and behaviourally. An additional service included within our enhancement agreement is the hot lunch program provide through individual school cafeteria’s.
General Education Development program for adults. Class instructions are delivered Monday through Friday, giving students the flexibility to work at their own pace with help of an onsite teachers.
Registration is on a continuous basis and students can begin the program at any time. It’s never to late to start and our onsite teacher will work with students until they are ready to write the GED tests.
Our GED site is located at the Band office. Classes begin in September until April each year.

The Ugpi’ganjig Education Department provides students with a monthly living allowance for those attending post secondary and community college institutes. Students are required fill out and submit an application form each school year to the department. Along with the application students need to provide an acceptance letters and/or proof of re-enrolment. Each semester students are responsible to submit a class schedule to the department to demonstrate their continuous studies into the next semester.
Monthly living allowances are deposited on the 15th of each month.
